Privacy
What this site stores, where it lives, and how to get it back or delete it.
Short version
No analytics, no trackers, no ads and no cookies. You can read everything and use every tool without an account. If you sign in, only the things listed below are stored, and you can download or delete them at any time from your account.
Without an account
- View counts. Each page counts one view per browser per day. Only the page path and the date are sent: no IP address, user ID or cookie is stored with it. A small marker in your browser's local storage prevents counting the same page twice on the same day.
- Tool settings. The EVE tools save their settings in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device.
With an account
Accounts are run by Supabase. When you sign in, it stores:
- Profile: your display name and avatar from the login you used (EVE Online character, GitHub or Google), and which logins are linked. EVE login only reads your public character info; it asks for no game permissions.
- Email address, if you sign in with email or if GitHub or Google provides one. It is never shown on the site.
- Synced tool settings for the EVE tools, so they follow you between devices.
- Comments and reactions you post. Comments show your display name and avatar publicly.
Your browser keeps the sign-in session in local storage (not a cookie). Supabase keeps short-lived service logs, such as sign-in events with the IP address they came from, for security.
Other requests your browser makes
- Google Fonts for the site's typefaces.
- images.evetech.net for EVE ship, item and character images.
- GitHub or Google avatar images, if a commenter signed in with one of them.
Download or delete your data
- Download my data gives you everything above as one JSON file.
- Delete my account removes your account, profile, synced settings, comments and reactions immediately. It can't be undone.
Signing out leaves your account untouched. Clearing your browser's site data removes local tool settings and the view-count marker.
