DED complexes cheat sheet

Every DED complex from 1/10 to 10/10 on one page, with ship limits, what to shoot, which rat or structure drops the loot and what the Overseer's Effects are worth.

DED complexes are the rated combat signatures, from 1/10 frigate sites in highsec to 10/10 shipyards in nullsec. This page is the short version: the rules, a faction table, and a card per site showing which target drops the loot. Each card opens the full pocket-by-pocket fact sheet in the EVE Site Index.

The rules

  • Finding them. Scan them down with core probes, or get one as an escalation from a combat anomaly. The From line on each card lists the anomalies that escalate into it.
  • No waves. Every rat is on grid when you land, unless a card lists a trigger. Gates are often locked behind a key that a named rat drops, but you rarely need to clear a pocket, so most sites can be blitzed.
  • Ship size. Acceleration gates cap the hull size by rating. See the table below.
  • The overseer. Each site has one or more overseers (a named ship or a structure) that always drop Overseer’s Personal Effects and 0 to 5 deadspace modules, never two of the same type. Rarely they drop a faction module or a pirate ship BPC.
  • Overseer’s Personal Effects sell to NPC buy orders at a fixed price, so they’re guaranteed ISK even when the modules are a bust.
  • There is no 9/10. The Fleet Staging Points, such as Dread Guristas, are the nearest thing.
  • Lowsec and nullsec. Higher ratings are what hunters probe for. Keep d-scan open and don’t sit in a pocket longer than you need.

Rating and ship limits

Rating Biggest hull Space Deadspace drop Overseer’s Effects
1/10 Frigate High, Low C-type small 27 k–358 k ISK
2/10 Destroyer (T3D ok) High, Low B-type small 60 k–580 k ISK
3/10 Cruiser (no T3C) High, Low A-type small 540 k–4.5 M ISK
4/10 Battlecruiser (no T3C) High, Low C-type medium 1.2 M–1.8 M ISK
5/10 Battleship, T3C Low (high by escalation) B-type medium 43 M–74 M ISK
6/10 Battleship, T3C Low, Null A-type medium 51 M–52 M ISK
7/10 Battleship, T3C Null C-type large 61 M ISK
8/10 Battleship, T3C Null B-type large 80 M ISK
10/10 Battleship, T3C Null X-type large 133 M–245 M ISK

Effects values are per site, adding up every overseer’s drop at NPC buy prices. The modules are the jackpot: a single A-type or X-type can be worth far more than the Effects.
